This Rag Doll is our favourite 16in doll. which we named Jessica after my grand-daughter. We decided to go crazy and used different coloured strands of wool to make her brightly coloured hair.
We made her from calico with a poly cotton skirt and blouse. However this rag doll and her clothes can be made from any firm fabric
The doll’s clothes are elasticated or have simple fastenings so are easy to put on and take off, a must for every busy little girl!
Have fun personalising this gorgeous rag doll her with deciding how to stitch the face, creating different facial expressions.
Do some extra stitching to add decoration to her clothes
Add ribbon, lace and buttons to make her your very own!
The downloadable rag doll pattern has easy to follow instructions. There are lots of photographs explaining each stage.
Suitable for those with some sewing experience.
What you need: fat quarters of calico and fabric for clothes; polyester wadding; small amounts of matching fabrics, wool or felt for hair, ribbon, lace, elastic, buttons and sequins.
Available as a paper pattern as well as a pdf.
